Cut
Remove any highlighted text/../images from the content, and places them on a temporary 'Clipboard'. The cut contents can later be Pasted from the clipboard into a different part of the content.

Copy
Create a duplicate of any highlighted text/../images. The duplicate is stored on the clipboard to be Pasted.

|
Paste
Insert any text/../images that have been Cut or Copied at the cursor position.
|
|
Bold
Make the selected text bold. If the button is depressed, any text that is typed will be bold. It may also be used to remove the bold formatting from already bolded text.

|
Italics
Italicise the selected text. If the button is depressed, any text that is typed will be italicised. It may also be used to remove the italics formatting from already italicised text.
|
|
Underline
Draw an underline underneath the selected text. If the button is depressed, any text that is typed will be underlined. It may also be used to remove the underline formatting from already underlined text.

Strikethrough
Draw a line through the selected text. If the button is depressed, any text that is typed will have a line drawn through it. It may also be used to remove the line formatting from text that already has the line drawn through it.

Left-Aligned
Change selected text to left-alignment. This is the default alignment for text. If the button is depressed, any text that is highlighted and/or subsequently typed will be left aligned.

Centred
Change selected text to centre alignment. If the button is depressed, any text that is highlighted and/or subsequently typed will be centred.
|
|
Right-Aligned
Changed selected text to right alignment. If the button is depressed, any text that is highlighted and/or subsequently typed will be right aligned.

Numbered List
Create a numbered list of points. If the button is depressed, each new line entered will become a numbered point. (Note: In some types of browsers, you may use a series of hashes instead of numbers while in the WYSIWYG editor. This is only because you are in edit mode and the numbers will display correctly on the site.)

Bulleted List
Create a bulleted list of points. If the button is depressed, each new line entered will become a bulleted point.

Decrease Indent
Change the indent of the selected text towards the left-hand side of the page.
|
|
Increase Indent
Change the indent of the selected text towards the right hand side of the page.
|
|
Style
Change the style of the text to be one of several pre-formatted styles (Normal, Main Heading, Heading, Sub Heading, Monospaced). A limited number of options are provided to ensure the site maintains a consistent image.

Text Colour
Change the text colour. Highlight the text that you wish to change. Click on the Text Colour button, and a drop box with a palette of colours will appear. Select the new colour with your mouse. Remember, any colours you choose should be compatible with the web site design. Please use this feature sparingly.

Background Colour (for Text)
Change the background text colour. Highlight the text that you wish to change the background for. Click on the Text Colour button, and a drop box with a palette of colours will appear. Select the new colour with your mouse. Note: the background colour button will only change the background of the text that is selected. To change the background colour of the whole cell, you need to edit the Cell Properties.Remember, any colours you choose should be compatible with the web site design. Please use this feature sparingly.

Select All
Highlight all of the text and ../images in the content cell. This is useful if you wish to change the alignment or formatting of all of the text in a cell.

Remove Formatting
Strip the text of any colouring or formatting (e.g. Bold). This button will not remove numbered lists, or change the style of the text (e.g. Heading, Sub Heading, Normal) and only applies to text that is highlighted. To remove formatting: highlight the text that you wish to remove the formatting for. Click on the 'Remove Formatting' button.

Create Link
Create a link to another page or file (either within the site or an external URL). To create a link: highlight the text or image that is to become the link, and click on the 'Create Link' button. If the link is to an external URL, type in the full address at the "URL:" prompt. If the link is to an attached file (on the current page) or a page within the site, use the drop down "Site Pages" or "Page Files" boxes and select the appropriate page or file. Fill in the "Status Bar" text (this is the text that appears in the bottom left hand corner of the browser when you hover your mouse over a link). If left blank, Status Bar text defaults to the URL where the link points to.

Remove Link
Removes a text link. The text will not be deleted, but converted back to its original style. To remove a link: highlight the link that you wish to remove and click on the 'remove link' button. Alternatively, if you wish to remove the text altogether, the linked text can be deleted.

Insert Picture
Inserts a picture into the content at the current cursor position. To insert a picture: click on the 'Insert Picture' icon. A new window will appear, where you have the choice of attaching.
- A new image, click the 'New' button. Another window will open that will allow you to upload the file you wish to use (click or browse). Commit the new image.
- An image that is already attached to the page, select the image from the drop-down box.
- Another file ID, type the ID of the file into the "Other File ID" box.
- You can see the IDs for the files attached to the current page on the 'Attachments' tab.Once you have selected the image, you can choose an alignment so that text may 'wrap' around the image. This is recommended. Finally, insert the image into the contents.

Insert Horizontal Line
Insert a horizontal line across the page at the current cursor position.
