Keyboard Shortcuts

Build a better Mouse-trap

While a mouse or other "pointing device" is a wonderful thing the simple fact is that many operations on most Graphical User Interfaces can be undertaken much more effectively using Accelerators or Keyboard Shortcuts. While they are not as intuitive for most of us once learned you wonder how you lived without them.

CronosII is no exception to this <pun> rule_ of _thumb </pun>.

We hope you find the Default Short-Cuts simple to use and remember but by all means take advantage of GTK and Roll Your Own.

Keyboard and Mouse Shortcuts

The Table of shortcuts following simply lists commands and functions by menu. Most Keyboard shortcuts are readily customised using standard GTK procedures. Please see the Section called How To for more information.

Briefly however; any menu level shortcut may be altered by holding the mouse cursor over the appropriate launch widget and entering the new shortcut instead of clicking. If the shortcut is not being used by this application (or possibly your window manager) the content of the widget should show the change and launching should simply be a matter of entering the new shortcut.

If a particular combination does not work try another.
