You transfer the database instance in normal database operation to the ONLINE operational state.
You use this command after a database error where the log backups remained intact but the data had to be restored using a complete data backup. To do so, you must have imported the complete data backup already (see also: Restoring the Database Instance). If you specify the option –u | -until and a time, you define the time up to which the log entries still available in the database instance are to be restored.
You have the server authorization DBStart.
db_online [<option>]
You can enter the command with the following options <option>:
-f | -fast |
The kernel variant fast is started. |
-q | -quick |
The kernel variant quick is started. |
-s | -slow |
The kernel variant slow is started. |
[-u |
-until] <date> <time> |
Time (year, month, day, hour, minutes, seconds) up to which the log entries still available in the database instance are to be restored. |
The system displays an OK message.
