You delete a version entry and the path under which the server software that is dependent on the database version is stored in the system, from the list of registered versions of the database software. You can then no longer run database software that requires this information.
Specify the installation path <dependent_path> as a parameter.
You have called the Database Manager CLI with the -R option.
You are logged on to the operating system (Logging On to the Operating System).
You do not require any server authorization.
inst_unreg <dependent_path>
Log on to the Database Manager CLI with the user DBM and password DBM, create a connection to the database instance myDB,
delete the registration of the software version 7.5 (default installation path)
dbmcli –u DBM,DBM –d myDB instunreg C:Program Files\SDB\7500
or
delete the registration of the software version 7.4 (default installation path)
dbmcli –u DBM,DBM –d myDB instunreg C:Program Files\SAPDB\depend
