You can change the properties of a DBM operator. A DBM operator can create other DBM operators, depending on his or her server authorizations. The operator can assign authorizations to new DBM operators, and change the authorizations of existing DBM operators.
The first Database Manager operator you create when you create a database instance has all server authorizations.
The user password of this operator cannot be changed.
The following properties can be assigned to a DBM operator:
Property |
Description |
PASSWORD |
Password of the user |
COMMENT |
More detailed description of the user |
DISABLED |
The user is locked. |
SECONDPASSWORD |
A second password used to allow other people to work temporarily with a user account, for example for support purposes, without having to reveal or change the original password. |
SERVERRIGHTS |
Authorizations for the DBM Server program and therefore for performing actions with the Database Manager, such as administration of the DBM operators (see also Server Authorizations) |
