 Adding a Volume

Use

You define additional Volumes to extend the disk space for the database instance. You can also use this command for creating additional mirror volumes, if the database is already mirrored.

If the database instance is not yet mirrored, create the first mirror volume with the command param_addvolume (Changing Volume Parameters).

Volumes of type archive cannot be added after the database has been set up.

To mirror the log volume, see also: Log Mode

Prerequisites

You have the server authorization ParamFull or AccessUtility.
