 Uninstallations with the Red Hat Package Manager 

Use

You install or update components of the database software on Linux. You specify all required information on the command line, together with the command for starting the installation program.

Prerequisites

You are in a root shell.

Procedure

 

       1.      Stop and delete each database instance one by one by executing the following commands:
dbmcli –d <database_name> -u <dbm_user>,<password> db_offline

dbmcli –d <database_name> -u <dbm_user>,<password> db_drop

       2.      Execute the uninstall command:
rpm -e maxdb<package_name | *>.rpm

Result

The specified software component(s) are uninstalled.
