 Creating a List of the DBM Commands 

Use

You request a list of DBM commands. You can view all valid DBM commands or modify the list by specifying options.

The commands are displayed with a description. Possible and/or necessary options for valid DBM commands are displayed as well as what type of session is required for Accessing the Database Instance. In the case of obsolete commands, the corresponding new commands are displayed.

Prerequisites

You do not need to log on to the Database Manager to execute this DBM command.

Syntax

help [-obsolete] [<string>]

-obsolete

Only obsolete commands are displayed. The system displays a reference to the current name for each of these commands

string

Only those commands are displayed which start with the specified character string

 

Examples

Call the Database Manager CLI, display all valid DBM commands:

dbmcli help

OK
archive_stage         <medium> <stage> [verfiy|noverify] [remove|keep]
                      [FileNumberList <list>]
archive_stage_repeat  <medium> <stage> [verfiy|noverify] [remove|keep]

Call the Database Manager CLI, display all DBM commands that start with the character string auto:
