You archive the original version files for log backups more than once on to different external backup media. You can also use different external backup tools to do this.
Exactly the same version files are processed as were copied to the first external backup medium using the command to archive the version files once, which must be executed once.
The command for archiving the version files to external backup media is supported from database version 7.04.03.
It can be executed only in the same session as the DBM server, just like the command for archiving the version files once, which must be executed first (Opening a DBM Server Session).
Your database instance has at least Version 7.04.03.
You have the DBM operator authorization Backup.
You have first executed the command to archive the version files once, specifying the KEEPoption.
The external backup media are defined for the backup type LOG (Defining or Changing a Backup Medium).
