 Creating, Changing, or Deleting a Database Manager Operator 

You can create a Database Manager operator (DBM operator), change the operator’s properties and server authorizations, or delete the operator. You can change the properties and server authorizations of a database system administrator (SYSDBA user).

Select the required database instance in the list of database instances.

Creating a DBM Operator

The database instance can be in any operational state.

...

       1.      Choose Instance ® Configuration ® Users.

       2.      Choose Actions ® New.

       3.      Choose General.
Specify the name of the Database Manager operator.
Enter and confirm the password.
If you want to lock the operator, select Disabled.
You can also specify a second password.

       4.      Choose Server Rights.
Select the required server authorizations.

Changing an Operator

You can change the properties and server authorizations of an operator. If you want to change the password of the first DBM operator, the database instance must be in the OFFLINE operational state. If you want to change the password of the database system administrator, the database instance must be in the ONLINE operational state.

Deleting a DBM Operator

You can delete any DBM operator, with the exception of the first DBM operator and the database system administrator.

Proceed as follows:

 

       1.      Choose Instance ® Configuration ® Users.

       2.      Select a DBM operator.

       3.      Choose Actions ® Delete.
