The Index Engine Monitoring function gives you a quick overview of the registered index engines. It tells you on which host the index engines are registered, as which indexing services they are working, and which document stores they are using.
You can display this information as an overview, or in more detail for each index engine.
To display the overview, choose Overview in the navigation area of the Index Engine Monitoring function. An overview of all the index engines appears, sorted by the hosts on which they are registered. The following information is displayed:
· The name and a short description of each index engine
· The corresponding indexing service
· The document store used
· The time of the last communication with the index engine. This indicates whether the index engine is working correctly. A communication should be received about once every 10 minutes.
To refresh the display, choose Refresh.
To display the details of a single index engine, choose its name in the navigation area of the Index Engine Monitoring function. The following information is displayed:
· The host on which this index engine is registered
· The name and a short description of the index engine
· The installation directory (Installation Root) of the index engine
· The directory path and name of the corresponding log file
· The corresponding indexing service
· The document store used
· The indexing library used
· The time of the last communication with the index engine. This indicates whether the index engine is working correctly. A communication should be received about once every 10 minutes.
To refresh the display, choose Refresh.
