 Transferring to the ONLINE Operational State

Use

You transfer the database instance in normal database operation to the ONLINE operational state.

You use this command after a database error where the log backups remained intact but the data had to be restored using a complete data backup. To do so, you must have imported the complete data backup already (see also: Restoring the Database Instance). If you specify the option –u | -until and a time, you define the time up to which the log entries still available in the database instance are to be restored.

Prerequisites

You have the server authorization DBStart.

Syntax

db_online [<option>]

Options

You can enter the command with the following options <option>:

-f | -fast

The kernel variant fast is started.

-q | -quick

The kernel variant quick is started.

-s | -slow

The kernel variant slow is started.

[-u | -until] <date> <time>
<date> ::= <yyyymmdd>
<time> ::= <hhmmss>

Time (year, month, day, hour, minutes, seconds) up to which the log entries still available in the database instance are to be restored.
