The system displays the content of the backup history. You can restrict or extend what is displayed using options.
To save time, we recommend that you execute the DBM command for fetching the backup history first. If you do not do so, it will be executed implicitly with the DBM command for displaying the backup history.
You have the server authorization Backup or DBInfoRead.

You determine
which columns should be displayed. If several columns are specified, you
separate them by commas. The keywords for the individual columns are: LABEL Label of the backup ACTION Action of the backup STAMP1 First time stamp of the backup STAMP2 Second time stamp of the backup START Start of the backup STOP End of the backup FIRSTLOG First log IO sequence number of backup LASTLOG Last log IO sequence number of backup LOG Specifies whether log backups must additionally be imported after the data backup import. MEDIA Name of the backup medium used PAGES Size of the backup in pages VOLUMES Number of parts comprising the backup RC Return value of the database instance for the backup ERROR Error text of the backup |
-k <key> |
Only the line of the backup history that contains the keyword specified under <key> is displayed. This option cannot be used with the -r option. |
-l <label> |
Only the lines of the backup history that contain the specified backup ID are displayed. This option cannot be used with the -r option. |
-a <action> |
Only the lines of the backup history that correspond to the specified backup type are displayed. This option cannot be used with the -r option. |
-r <restore_flag> |
Only backups that are required to restore the database instance are displayed. The following values for <restore_flag> are possible: * | LAST | <key> If you specify *, all data backups required to restore the database instance are displayed. If the log volume is intact, only the data backups that match the available log are displayed. If you specify LAST, starting with the last complete backup all backups required to restore the database instance are displayed. If you specify <key> for the complete data backup, all backups that are required to restore the database instance are displayed. The key value for the data backup is found in the first column of the entry for this backup in the backup history. |
-u <yyyymmddHHMMSS> |
Only those lines in the backup history that contain data that was saved in the database instance before the specified time are displayed. This option cannot be used with the -r option. |

For each line that relates to a backup, information is supplied on the backup medium used. |
-e |
For each line that relates to a backup, information is supplied on the relevant external backup ID. |
-Inverted |
The backup history is displayed in reverse sequence (most recent backup first). |
