For the administration of an existing database instance with Java, you need to connect to the DBM Server that matches the software version of this database instance. To set up the connection, you use the Java method DBM.dbDBM.
This
method corresponds to the procedure for opening a DBM Server
session
(
dbmcli -n <database_server> -d <database_name>).
