You store special users in the Database Manager program. This can be both DBM operators and database users.
You do not create any new users with this command; you simply store data for existing users in the Database Manager.
You can store the following users:
<user_type> |
Explanation |
DBM |
|
DBA |
|
DOMAIN |
|
SAP |
Special database user in connection with SAP applications |
The Database Manager usually knows these users. If problems occur with storing the user data or after a restore of the database instance, this information can be lost in the Database Manager. You then use this command to store the users in the Database Manager again.
You have the server authorization UserMgm.
user_set user-type=<user_type> <usr>,<pwd>
<user_type> ::= DBM, DBA, DOMAIN, SAP
The system displays an OK message.
In the event of errors, see Reply Format.
