 List of All Registered Database Instances 

Use

You call up a list of all the database instances registered on the server.

If you specify the option [-s], the service database instances for each version of the database software are also listed (Access Using a Service Session).

Prerequisites

You do not need to log on to the database manager to execute this DBM command.

You do not require a server authorization.

Syntax

db_enum [-s]

Reply

The system displays an OK message. Then a table is displayed, listing all of the registered database instances in tabular format.

<database_name>

Name of the database instance

<dependent_path>

Directory that contains the server software dependent on the database version.

<database_version>

Version of the database software

<kernel_version>

Kernel variant

<operational_state>

Operational state of the database instance

Example

Logging on to the database manager CLI as operator DBM with password DBM using the option –R and the installation path for software version 7.5, executing the DBM command for displaying a list of all the database instances registered for the specified version on the server GENUA:

dbmcli -R "C:\Program Files\SDB\7500" –n GENUA db_enum
